First home owner disturbed attract a maid in the basement dungeon and performed as terrified young medieval dentistry. When he realizes the horror he told the girl that (small goblin like creatures) took his son and return him to the teeth. The film begins with a young girl, Sally Hirst (Bailee Madison), moves in Blackwood Manor, the Gothic mansion to be restored by the architect of his father Alex (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) Kim designer interiors. His father is renovating the house they live in the hope that in the first page of a magazine known.
